Grand Theft Auto San Andreas careens to Windows Phone but lacks Xbox Live

Way back in November Rockstar Games shocked all by saying they were bringing their mobile port of their hit game Grand Theft Auto San Andreas to Windows Phones. This shocked us all because a lot of bigger developers skip out on porting to Windows Phones but Rockstar Games is a true bro! Of course it came out a few months after the iOS and Android ports but now Grand Theft Auto San Andreas has finally reached Windows Phones and we can’t be more ecstatic.

However, there are a few stipulations with the Windows Phone port of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. First off it only supports a limited number of devices. Specifically the Nokia Lumia: 1520, 1320, 822, 820, 810, and HTC: 8XT. This may come as a surprise to some as some pretty popular devices aren’t on that list. However, people have tested some devices that aren’t mentioned, like the Lumia 1020 and 920, run fine.

Another slight issue some people may have with the Windows Phone version of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is the lack of controller support. Mainly lacking MOGA controls which hopefully Rockstar Games will add later on seeing as how it is said to be an easy issue fix. Another big issue is the lack of Xbox Live features. This mainly means lack of achievements. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas for Windows Phone also lacks cloud saving which is another huge drag. Overall though you can’t complain too much, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is actually on Windows Phones which is a huge step!
